TL;DR: The Tecno Spark 50s price starts at INR 19,999 in India for 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with an 8GB version at INR 22,999. It pairs a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chip with a 6.78-inch 120Hz LCD, a 6,500mAh battery with 45W charging, IP64 protection and a 50MP main camera. Sales start October 20 on Amazon.in and in stores. Tecno also surprise-launched the Spark 50C, a rugged 4G phone rated IP68 and IP69, but hasn’t announced its price yet.

The Tecno Spark 50s price puts it squarely in India’s crowded budget segment, where battery life and durability matter as much as raw speed. Tecno unveiled the phone on October 16, 2026, as the newest member of its Spark 50 lineup, which already includes the Spark 50 4G, Spark 50 5G and Spark 50 Pro, according to GSMArena. This is a specs-and-pricing breakdown based on the official announcement, not a hands-on review.

What stands out on the Spark 50s

A big battery with modern charging tricks

A 6,500mAh battery is large for this price range, and 45W charging should keep top-ups reasonable. Tecno also lists reverse wired charging, so you can top up earbuds or another phone with a cable, and bypass charging, which powers the phone directly from the charger during long gaming or video sessions to reduce battery heat. If your current phone keeps losing signal instead, our guide to why your phone shows SOS may fix it before you upgrade.

Calls without a signal, within limits

The most unusual feature is what Tecno calls No Network Communication. According to the announcement, it lets Spark 50s owners make calls and send messages without cellular coverage or Wi-Fi, at distances of up to 1.5 km. That could be handy for groups at a festival, on a hike or in a building with poor reception. The announcement doesn’t spell out which other phones it can reach, so treat it as a short-range extra, not a replacement for a network.

Built for rough handling

The IP64 rating means the phone is dust-tight and resists splashes, though it is not built for submersion. MIL-STD-810H is a US military testing standard that manufacturers use to show resistance to drops, vibration and temperature changes; how strictly each brand tests varies, so it is best read as a sign of extra toughness rather than a guarantee.

Where it may fall short

  • HD+ resolution: a 6.78-inch screen at HD+ will look less sharp than the Full HD+ panels some rivals offer at this price.
  • One main camera: there’s a single 50MP rear camera, with no ultrawide or macro lens.
  • LCD, not OLED: blacks and contrast won’t match AMOLED screens.
  • 128GB ceiling: both versions top out at 128GB, though the dedicated microSD slot helps.

Tecno Spark 50C: the rugged budget sibling

Alongside the Spark 50s, Tecno quietly introduced the Spark 50C, a 4G phone aimed at buyers who want durability above all. It uses a MediaTek Helio G81 chip with 4GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, running Android 16.

  • Display: 6.78-inch HD+ 120Hz LCD that Tecno says works with wet or oily hands.
  • Cameras: 13MP rear and 8MP front.
  • Battery: 5,200mAh with 15W charging.
  • Durability: IP68 and IP69 ratings, which cover dust, submersion and high-pressure water jets.
  • Extras: dual stereo speakers, AI call noise cancellation, an IR blaster for controlling TVs and air conditioners, and FreeLink 2.0 for off-network calls and texts within about 1.5 km.
  • Colors: Burgundy Red, Forge Orange, Basalt Titanium and Eclipse Black.

Tecno has not yet revealed the Spark 50C’s price or sale date.

Should you buy the Tecno Spark 50s?

On paper, the Spark 50s makes sense for buyers who prioritize battery life, durability and expandable storage over screen sharpness and camera variety. The 6,500mAh cell, 45W charging and IP64 rating are strong for the price, and features like bypass charging are usually found on pricier phones. If you care most about display quality or photography, it’s worth waiting for independent reviews and comparing it with other phones around INR 20,000.

The Spark 50C may end up the more interesting phone for tough environments thanks to its IP68 and IP69 ratings, but its value will depend entirely on a price Tecno hasn’t shared yet. For more phone news, see our coverage of Android 17 QPR2 Beta 7.1 and the iPhone Duo preorder delay.
